Title: Friggen Awesome Combo!
Post by: BubbleBoy on August 10, 2008, 12:03:00 PM
Okay, here's the combo: Have King Amaziah in play, and place Spear And Shield on him. Now, use King Amaziah's special ability to choose a Warrior class king of Israel to block. Because of Spear and Shield, you get to play the first enhancement, so play Valley of Salt, which cannot be negated. Your opponent is helpless! ;D (I'm sure this combo is already known to many people, but I just figured it out, myself.)

Either that or just use King Amazing to pick a 1/1 evil king that they have no enhancements for.

For questions like that, the REG (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/) is your friend.

Yeah, but it takes so long to load. Can't you just tell me? Because you obviously know, since you use a combo with it.

If I am not mistaken, I think your Hero gains 2 additional brigades of choice after like 3 turns of being set-aside......

uhm... wouldn't it help to not have crown of thorns? I mean, that makes killing people with judges seat really hard. Evils with up to six health would now survive. And it's called christian maryr. ;) Or kingdoms of the world, or winning by numbers. I personally like having the lord fights for you AND judges seat, with S sacrafice and "shiboleth". Now that wins! :P

... you COMPLETELY missed how you use it.

Use JS to kill anyone */5 and above. then flip up Crown of thorns and kill everyone */3 and below. All they have left is */4 ECs.

Naw JS takes a while to work. I have this in a hero-lite it works PERFECTLY.

If you don't care that your opponent is annoyed out of his mind, then throw in the lord fights for you. My personal favorite card ever!

Except, The Lord Fights for You only works if they dont have a single color defense.

yeah, that's why I use the 7/7 orange foof demon, and then on their preporation phase, they have to discard it and I keep their evil guy. :) And it's worth it, since it's only one card, incase they have like orange/crimson.

I played a hero-lite Judges Seat + Red/Gold RoA Setaside (can't remember name) + Crown of Thorns deck against Chad Soderstrom, killed every single Evil Character in his Zebulun deck. Which was like, 16 ECs, he got a little frustrated.  ;)

Which one is that?

Seven Wicked Spirits: "Interrupt all fortresses and exchange this evil character with any other character in play or set aside."

but...you don't get to keep the evil guy, do you? TLFfY makes any player with more than one evil brigade discard a character, so unless the character you steal from your opponent is in the one brigade that you're using, you'll have to discard it eventually, right?

(By the way, this post is so old I hardly remembered it anymore.)

Just out of curiosity, what is the best kind of defense to have if you're using a hero-lite Judges Seat offense???
Title: Re: Friggen Awesome Combo!
Post by: BubbleBoy on November 11, 2008, 07:48:49 AM
Hmmm...if it's lite, I may go with, say, Assyrians?

What about Bablyonian capture? It seems like it's a very slow offense and you have to kind of depend on your defense to hold your opponent off.

Babylonians don't even count; they're the best for everything. :D

I happen to love Romans. They pwn pretty hard. ;) Mix with some greeks....

Usually if I can't figure out what to put for defense, I just throw in Babylonians.

Another variation of this combo I like is:

King Amaziah (8/9) selects King Zechariah (9/8) to block
Play Valley of Salt

This version is nice in that it takes one less card to pull off.

Thanks for posting!

Why do new members always like to pick up dead posts? ::) ;)

I'm not even sure that that would work though, since when you choose the blocker, it is then mutual destruction by numbers, and since you technically played the last card, your opp would have init, right?
Title: Re: Friggen Awesome Combo!
Post by: TheKarazyvicePresidentRR on January 26, 2009, 09:15:40 PM
No because even though you chose the card your op played, they played it.

Is it wrong for people that aren't on the boards frequently to chime in with their ideas/opinions on things they missed?

Personally, I don't think so.

I do think it's not very friendly/welcoming for regular board users to belittle or chastise them for doing it though.

If it were that easy, criminals would start attaching smiley stickers to their AK-47 before shooting people.

As if posting comments on message boards is even comparable to homicide.

As if posting comments on message boards is even comparable to homicide.

The courts seem to think so, given the recent case of the people who were so mean and nasty to a teenage girl online that she committed suicide. Those people were held responsible for their part in cyber-bullying.

Do you really want to be remembered as the Redemption Board member that drove people away because he thought it was funny to be rude?

I wasn't even insulting anybody, for goodness' sake!

Why do new members always like to pick up dead posts? ::) ;)

Did you even read the post? It was just an observation, and I wasn't even serious. I'm pretty sure Knight o Time didn't take it offensively, and if he did, I'm truly, humbly, sorry.

I did read the post, so no need to insult me too. I found it rude when you first posted it, but your continued defense of being rude prompted my response. If he truly was a new member, your first response to him was ...  that? Why not "Welcome to the boards" ?

The fact that more than one person has told you it was rude should be enough to validate the perception. Now is a good time to either apologize or be silent.

You know, your responses to people who you disagree with are really crappy. If you thought I was making people feel bad, why would you respond by trying to make me feel bad? Honestly, I have very little respect for these kinds of people, and no, I will not be silent or apologize to you. However, if the person who I responded to feels offended by what I said, then again, I am really, really sorry.
