So most of the buzz is about offense. But what about defense, can't it win a game too? My question is what are the best defenses in your opinion, in general and against meta type things like TGT, Sam, and Disciples?
-
The best defenses are the ones that can get a few blocks while speeding out your offense faster, at least in type I.
I like a pharisee/magician spread for this.
-
Herods have some nice anti meta cards, especially against banding.
-
Interesting choices, the Egyptians are a personal favorite of mine even though I lack some key cards.
-
I find many defenses I face include at least a splash of magicians, often by way of Users of Curious Arts (CBN use any color enh) and usually including Charms.
-
Best defense is beasts hands down leviathan is a monster

Only thing that's gives my trout issues is fishermen but I have no issues with Thad he never uses the right bait to hook my little fish

i love cooking fish in my iron pan

Babs are great if you have room for a large defense, because they have tons of cards.
-
Egyptians are quite fast with all the new genesis cards. I run a 70 card deck and sometimes deck out before 56 cards decks if I don't draw all my deck discard cards.
-
Magicians.
Fast, fantastic support cards, and why play one civ when you can play all of them?
