Then you play another search or draw and start the loop all over again lol

Considering they're both optional, I think the Damascus player starts declining long before someone hits 16. The GC player is getting exactly what they need, while the Damascus player is only getting random cards.

I meant in the OP that both players have both Damascus and GC
