Dumb question: How does it work (could not find helpful information on Yahoo Fantasy Sports site)?
-
With 11 entries (including my own) now in the pool, the prize of 3 packs is officially up for grabs! 8)
Keep in mind that if you win, you'll have to wait awhile to claim the prize... :P

Hey guys,
I completed my bracket and saved it.
Is that all I have to do, or is there something else I need to do to "submit" the bracket?
Thanks,
emonier

All you gotta do now is root for the teams you picked. 8)

Need to repeat my question: What is this all about and how does it work? As said the Yahoo site itself does not provide any helpful information (at least I could not find any).

Are you familiar with the NCAA college basketball tournament?
It starts with 64 teams who play a single elimination tournament over the course of 3 weekends.
People fill out "brackets" with who they think will win each game. For each correct prediction, you get points (with correct predictions in the later rounds getting more points than the earlier rounds).
The person with the most points at the end wins.

Watch out! No more funsies for me. Now that there are prizes on the line, I rejiggered my pool to win.

Hey Reth! You might want to check out the 538 bracket (https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2017-march-madness-predictions/) for some help. If you always just pick the favorites you probably won't win. But...you also won't end up in last place.

Is there going to be a first, second and third place? Or winner-takes-all?
-
I had only planned to do a first place prize.
It looks like the championship game for our pool is actually going to be the UNC-Oregon game.
If Oregon wins, then Schaefer locks up first place.
If UNC wins, then Matt will overtake him and they both have Gonzaga winning it all.

I'm not too hopeful on Oregon pulling out another upset. Chances are I'll finish second. Definitely March Madness this year.

It appears Matt rejiggered his bracket just well enough as he is our winner!!! 8)
I think I should make him claim his prize at a tournament so he has to come out of his quasi-retirement... ;)
