Title: Latest Vikings News
Post by: Lozo777 on January 21, 2011, 12:48:04 PM
In case you haven't been paying attention the Vikings have been busy lately and have acquired a few new coaches.

Mike Singletary - LB Coach

Craig Johnson - QB Coach

Jeff Davidson – Offensive Line Coach

Ryan Silverfield – Assistant Offensive Line Coach

Bill Musgrave - Offensive Coordinator

And Fred Pagac was also promoted to Defensive Coordinator..

And due to the QB conundrum there are talks about acquiring Vince Young too because of Craig Johnson being on the same team with Young for Young's entire career.
ALSO.. Kyle Orton, Donovan McNabb, and Kevin Kolb(ick) are all free agents after this season and they're possible pick ups for the Vikes.

Thoughts?

I'd be a good quarter back as long as I have an o-line that never fails and I never have to throw it (or hand it off, either. I might drop it....)

With all the new personnel it sounds like the VYkings need to build some team chemistry.  Nothing works better than a luxury boat trip.  :P

None of this changes the fact that the Vikings have to face the two best teams in the NFC twice per year - the Bears and Packers.

Now, now, I'm a Packer fan, but even I'm not that confident, try 'Two of the best teams" The Saints, Falcons, and Bucs are all very good teams that are in the conversation for the best team.

I strongly disagree.. Packers are uber overrated. And the Bears have had Obama paying the refs all year ;)

I think the Packers are the real deal and the Bears are overrated. I highly doubt Chicago beats Atlanta in Atlanta.

The Bears certainly have the chance to prove me wrong tomorrow.  :P

The results speak for themself.  Make whatever excuses you want, those two teams made it to the championship game.

I think the Packer's are currently a slightly better team than the Bears, but may lose. I think the teams are close enough in harmony and skill that the home field advantage may be the deciding factor

Go Pack Go!!!
