So, back to the whole lidge situation - two games later, he's pitched 2.0 innings, only given up one hit, and walk to go with 3 kills.

What say ye now STAMP?

Well here is his game log from 2009.  He had some good outings last year, too.  He might snap out of it.  Hoffman might snap out of it, too.  They'll get their opportunities and save a bunch, but your ERA and WHIP might suffer in the process.  We don't keep track of blown saves so it may be worth it to keep him.  I'm in a couple of other leagues where BS is a stat so it matters there.

I've decided...I'm a batting stat guru, but a total noob in pitching.  It was my Achilles heel last year, and it is again this year.  No matter what I do, my pitching is always lacking.  I'll manuever and do the best I can, but it looks like I'll just hover around 4th& 5th.

Yeah, and Chris Perez blew one for me today :( Without allowing a walk, or an earned run. What does that tell you about the defence behind him..........

Out of curiousity, 10 is a smallish league correct? It just feels slow because there's more than enough premier players, so everyone can have a team of stars....

Hey, hey, hey. I'm only carrying three closers. Soria plays for the Royals, Jenks plays for the WSox, and Wagner plays for the Braves. Thats like 10 save opportunities total the entire year.

On a side note, I'm 0/12 with 5 Ks (batting) today :D.

I've never played with anything other than 12 before this year.  It would be great if we had a few more people to play but I also like the looks of how our season is going so far.
May you prosper greatly!

I know what you mean.  Cincinnati dropped Adam Lind and I was like, shoot, I don't have anyone to drop to pick him up off waivers.

I do like bigger leagues.  My 3 ESPN leagues are all 10 teams each: 2 roto and 1 h2h.  My Fox league is 8 teams and the interface stinks (won't do baseball on Fox ever again).  My 4 Yahoo leagues are 11, 10, 8 and 8 but with different roster sizes and starting lineup sizes which make the leagues seem bigger.  Here they are:

I've decided that I'm the worst fantasy manager ever.

I started Uribe, who's been hot lately, and sat Drew, who I picked up as a back-up.

Final stat line - Uribe - 0/4 Drew - 2/4 with two doubles.

Also, Alan you have another trade offer to reject, I figure if I keep bugging you with trades you'll eventually find one you like :)

Jon, you have a trade offer also. I fully expect you to reject it, so don't feel bad when you do :) I obviously don't understand how to balance trades yet :) I'm a rookie, give me a break ;)

Its an interesting trade offer, but I've got to reject it. Cano is a monster and Kemp isn't looking too hot (still doing well). The main reason, though, is my OF is pretty decent. Upton-Bay-CarGo-Beltran (When he comes back) is pretty cash. No reason to tear a massive hole in my lineup (I'd have to get a SS from FA) to slightly improve my OF.

On a side note... YEAH! 2/23 with 2 singles and 10 strike outs. Greatest offense ever. I'm just glad Lackey actually had a not ":c" start. (7IP 1 Run)

Yeah, I figured the third reason would be the most damaging - Cano is a good sell-high canidate, especially if you can get a first round talent like Kemp for him (Though I do agree that Kemp isn't off to an amazing start)

Also, Cano plays 2B. not SS :)

You're right.... and Figgins plays 2nd.... so I wouldn't have to resort to FA, but its still a downgrade....

I still think I'll decline, keeping my current OF situation in mind.

Problem with such a shallow league.... only 30 outfielders needed.... And there's probably close to 20 B+ - A+ oufielders out there.

Off the top of my head:

Upton
Kemp
Beltran
Utley
Mannywood
Abreu
Ordonez
Wells

etc, etc, etc.

Agreed. Utley is the greatest OF ever.

(Now, if there is a different Utley I'm not thinking of I'll feel like an idiot)

Not sure why I put Utley on that list.... He'd be an amazing OF if he played there :)

I was confusing him with Werth... To many amazing players on the phillies roster.

Ouch!  I have Randy Wells starting on three of my Yahoo leagues.  He just gave up 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st to the Pirates and is struggling in the 2nd.   :-[

Then I remember I dropped him a couple days ago
