Title: Would this work?
Post by: yirgogo on October 12, 2014, 08:39:38 PM
I was wondering what this combo would do.

Displeased Phillistines:
Opponant may not draw or search deck next turn.

Then  next turn play Meyham.

Certainly. It is evil, but useful.

I noticed it over Redemption Live while putting together a black deck, and was wondering if I should include it.

If you have room for it it's definitely a solid add. Usually I see people use that combo with Besieging the City in gold and it's a bit better because it has no numbers and they can't attack either.

Awesome! The problem is that I find Black a funner defense then Gold.

Yes (funner)

;)

True dat. But you put Ashdod in your Philly deck so that you CAN play Besieging the City.

I'm actually not sure this would work. Displeased Philistines is worded like a restrict, but Mayhem is your card (not your opponent's) so I'm not sure if the restrict would prevent them drawing via your special ability.

There is nothing in restrict that would 'restrict' it to cards played by your opponent.  Your opponent may not draw, no matter the source.
