Does Widows of Joppa disallow you to be able to band to evil characters in your hand? I know that if your hand is protected from opponents and your opponent attacks with Thad because he's not protecting your hand so by flipping that ruling you shouldn't be able to name, right?
Widow's of Joppa
Protect your hand and discard pile from evil cards. […]

Yes, this would protect your hand from banding abilities.

Agree with CS about the ruling, but I'm having trouble deciphering the part about Thad, what are you trying to compare to there?

Essentially I was saying that because Thad protects ECs in your hand from being banded to then Widows of Joppa should as well but I still wanted to ask because it makes WoJ a bit less valuable.

Indeed, it is a drawback for her, just like all hand protection has the drawback of not being able to do anything about Entrapping, for instance, or how Wall has a weakness with Goliath. I'm truly curious to see how much play she gets with how the ability ended up, but your thought is correct on the ruling.
