Let's say thomas Di does a ra and is blocked by egyptian archer. They play enslaved by egypt and egypt is in play. I was told that thomas could itb since he has cbn status and his ability kicked in first. But i though cbn meant cbn no matter what. Halp!

Enslaved is CBN. The enhancement played after it also has CBN, but the ability on the enhancement came into play after the CBN

assuming enslaved by egypt is directed at thomas, thomas cannot itb and nothing else can be played. if thomas somehow had a chance to play an enhancement before enslaved, then that would be cbn.

This seems to be a common misunderstanding, especially in regards to banding.
A Cannot be Negated interrupt/negate does nothing against another Cannot be Negated ability.
CBN on a negate means that that negate cannot be prevented or interrupted. It has nothing to do with its ability to negate other things.

I saw this in another game and that is what I thought. That person said that that was how it worked.
