Title: Weapons vs. Decrease cards
Post by: Tsavong Lah on September 24, 2008, 04:20:43 PM
So this questions seems dumb to me, but I'm not sure. Do decrease cards like hunger affect both characters and weapons, or just characters? So say a 6/6 Warrior-Class Hero is holding a 2/1 Weapon and his opponent plays Hunger; does the hero die, or is the stats of the weapon added to the Hero's stats?

Hunger
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Black • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: All Heroes of one opponent decrease 6/6 for remainder of turn. If result is */0 or less, discard Hero. • Play As: All Heroes of one opponent decrease 6/6 for remainder of turn. Heroes of other players are uneffected. If result is */0 or less, discard Hero. • Identifiers: None • Verse: Lamentations 4:9 • Availability: Prophets booster packs (Rare)

Weapons do not count as an actual increase. Adino holding a spear in territory is still discarded by Hunger.

REG: Increase or Decrease Ability, Default Conditions:
"Cards that increase or decrease abilities of a character only target the abilities of the character (face value plus gained abilities), not the enhancements or weapons used by that character. So, a 6/6 warrior class Hero with a 3/2 weapon is discarded after the battle  but a 6/6 Hero with Elijah’s Mantle activated is not discarded after the battle in which Hunger is played."
