Interrupting a Negate?

Let's say my Teal Hero (I don't care who) is blocked by an Evil Character that negates all characters and enhancements, like, say, oh, King of Tyrus. Now let's say I want to play Zeal for the Lord:

Zeal for the Lord (Pi)
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Teal • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and discard two Evil Characters of different brigades. Cannot be negated if used by Phinehas, son of Eleazar. • Identifiers: None • Verse: Numbers 25:11

Am I allowed to interrupt King of Tyrus's negate and then proceed to discard him and something else?

You cannot interrupt if your interrupt is already prevented.  It would have to be a CBN or CBP interrupt to work in that situation.

So only if used by Phinehas, son of Eleazar, then.
