Title: Weapons equipped in territory
Post by: Kevinthedude on July 12, 2017, 07:25:57 PM
Are weapons equipped in territory considered "played" for purposes of cards that target the last card/enhancement played?

"A card is considered “played” if it meets these criteria:
● You play an enhancement by attempting to activate its special ability (or numbers in
battle)
● You play a character or multicolor site by putting it in your territory or your side of the
battle.
● You play any other card type by putting it face up on the playing surface from hand,
deck, or discard pile due to your special ability or game action, except when you discard
a card from hand"

The bolded section seems to exclude enhancements, characters, and multicolor sites from the third bullet point (since they were mentioned previously). Is this an oversight or do weapons equipped in territory not count as played since their special ability isn't being activated?

Weapons are played when they enter battle.

Weapons are played when they enter battle.

So if there was a territory class card with the special ability "Place in territory: You may discard this card to negate and discard the last enhancement played by an opponent" it would not be able to hit weapons an opponent just placed on their character in territory?

Correct.

This is also why you can equip weapons in territory while Covenant with Death is active.

Correct, but if you push a Hero with a weapon out while CwD is active, the weapon does not activate (if there is no EC in battle).
