Weapons and placed enhancements

Where and when do the above follow the character? My friends argued that they followed everywhere, but I thought I heard somewhere that they where discarded when the character is captured.

That was the last statement by an Elder and hasn't been contradicted as of yet so I assume that's status quo until they come back with an official ruling? I'm not sure.

If I remember correctly, the weapon can only stay in the battle if there is another character that could use it (following the 'passing of weapons' rule).  Otherwise they follow like all placed cards.  But I'm honestly not confident in anything on that ruling currently.

The last statement by an elder in that thread is that they are creating a thread on the elder boards to discuss it.  Nothing official yet.
