Post by: Watchman on June 28, 2017, 03:30:57 AM: In light of a recent thread that discussed wording on artifacts that made the ability either upon activation, at any time or each round, what is the situation with Unsuccessful's wording? I have always played this curse as an "At any time" ability vs having to be used upon activation. I believe this card was meant to be used at any time in battle , as Covenant of Noah is (errated). I want to verify with the elders if Unsuccessful is to be treated like errated Covenant of Noah.

I haven't seen this card played in a long time, but every time I've seen it it's been played like Cov o' Noah. If you were to play it in a tournament against me to negate a good enhancement during battle, I wouldn't question it, as that's how I would play it. If it's not errata'd to work like that, it should be.

Post by: The Guardian on July 01, 2017, 12:23:44 PM: I have a vague recollection of the Elder team discussing this card and the consensus seemed to be it should be given errata similar to Covenant of Noah. However, it was never added to the official errata list--I'm not sure why. I will confer with others and see if they have similar recollections.
