I keep finding lots of cool uses for Name of the Lord, and I wondered if this works.
I make a rescue attempt with Israelite Archer AND choose to use his special ability, meaning he should be discarded at the end of the battle. If my opponent blocks and I get initiative, can I "save" him by moving to The Name of the Lord?
Thanks!
The Name of the Lord: Set this fortress aside. If you have initiative, you may interrupt the battle and place your Hero on this fortress. Hero is protected from effect. Each time you rescue a Lost Soul, return one Hero to your territory. This fortress is protected from discard.
Israelite Archer: May band to any warrior class Hero. May discard any warrior class Evil Character in a territory but then discard Israelite Archer at end of battle.

you may indeed.

would you have to discard him if he came back?
-
Nope. The trigger ability of end the battle was interrupted and IA was taken out of play. So he wouldn't be discarded. I would say David's Harp is more effective for recurring him though, since you can get him back right away.

True on David's Harp, except it takes up an Artifact space that I would like to use for other fun things :) Thanks.
