Title: TGT Clarification
Post by: browarod on December 21, 2009, 11:58:21 AM
If I have one crimson evil character in my territory, can I block a TGT hero with a crimson evil character from hand, or do I have to have both in my territory before I can defend against TGT?

The second option. You are not allowed to put characters down from hand during an opponent's turn (unless a special ability says otherwise) except directly into battle. At the point when you would place a character into battle, his brigade is ignored, so he can't enter battle. Which is why TGT is so powerful, as you often need to have at least three of your EC's down in order to be able to block, assuming that one of them will be Grailed.

However, using cards like Gates of Hell and Philistine Outpost can help out a lot, as you can add another character (or more than one using GoH) to your territory before you block, which will ideally stop the ignore.
