Title: Son of God
Post by: BeaverQB on January 15, 2021, 08:55:26 AM
Opponent attacks me.

I block and lead the battle on points.

When opponent realizes they cannot win battle by the numbers or with enhancements, they play Son of God (negate and rescue a Lost Soul).

While I understand that I will lose a Lost Soul, does my blocker still defeat their attacker, or does everyone go back to their territory and any enhancements get discarded?

After your opponent declares which Lost Soul they are rescuing from your Land of Bondage, the battle still resumes. If it results in your opponent losing by the numbers, battle resolution happens and your opponent's Hero would be discarded (and thus would be a successful block on your part).

Son of God getting a soul doesn't count towards the soul you get for battle. You can play SoG midway through a rescue attempt and then still get another soul if you win the rescue.
