Special Ability
Selected human N.T. Hero gains clay brigade. Cannot be interrupted.
Is this a permanent gained ability?
-
I believe it remains as long as the hero remains in territory or set-aside. Once it goes to hand, deck, or discard it resets.

Nope, you have to permanently mark that card as clay brigade, until the end of time. Soon... they will print a Tclass EC version of Simon that ignores clay brigade, CBN. Slowly but surely, offenses will fall. There is no escape from Simon the Tanner.

Simon was really upset when we decided to go with "Clay" instead of "Tan" for the new brigade...

Does this look like the face of mercy?

Actually it's quite simple to avoid . . . Simon only targets N.T. human heroes . . .

Curses! If it weren't for you meddling kids, I could have gotten away with it!
-
So does the character have its original brigade also or is it now only clay?
-
It has the original brigade and Clay.
In the interest of full disclosure, we discussed having him convert Heroes to Clay only, but decided we wanted to leave convert to different brigade type abilities to evil cards (i.e. Gold Shield) and that good cards would only give additional good brigades to other good cards (Training in Righteousness).
