Title: Side battle questions

1. If someone blocks a battle, and than I use a card like Sword of the Lord, and they get removed from battle, can they play a card to negatte that?
2. If A side battle is occuring, and someone is getting removed from the actual battle, can they play an enhancemnent to negate it?

1.) you cant negate the cause of a side battle until after the side battle, and only if you survive.
2.) no, they cannot. the enhancement must be negated in the side battle.

Redemption rule #11.b - Never negate a side battle as you don't want to figure out what is cascade negated and what is not. It hurts the brain
