Title: Side battle question

Hi, have a question concerning side battle.

For example, Troops discharged makes two evil characters in play to fight each other. By play, we mean in battle or territories ?

And is the two evil could come from my opponent, one from my opponent and one from me or two from me ?

"In play" includes the field of battle and all territories.

Yes, it can be one of yours and one of your opponents, two of yours or two of your opponent's.

Keep in mind, that different side battle cards have different conditions.
