Hello,
If I create a side battle with two EC and I use fire Fox to protect lost souls cause my opponent searched this turn. I then by numbers am discarded. We return to the original battle, can a interrupt the battle card target the protection ability of Fire Fox that was in the side battle and who is no longer in play?

The protection would end with the side battle, because each battle takes place in it's own phase and FF doesn't say the protection lasts longer than that phase.
In general though, ITB only targets abilities activated in the current battle, so you couldn't target FF anyway.
