Title: Side battle confusion

Question about side battles:

So my opponent attacks, claudia banded to ethiopian treasurer and plays a side battle card like cup of wrath. He chooses me to block with assyrian archer, so I band to another assyrian archer and then to rabshakeh. He chooses to block my huge band with a lil 1/1 king and play nasty enhancements. So he dies and I "win" the side battle. So does my huge assyrian band return to the territory and I block claudia/et with my own EC? Or do I get to only block with my original assyrian archer? Or do I get to block claudia/et with the huge assyrian band? Or something else?

It was played prebattle, so enhancements are discarded and then you start you plans to block anew.

Correct. If he played that after you blocked, any evil characters that were in the side battle join the main battle.
