ok, so I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I really want to know why...
suppose we create a side battle with...Cup of Wrath. and then we make Demon in Armor fight Wandering Spirit. can Wandering Spirit band to Demon in Armor?
-
I would assume so, provided it's not the same Demon in Armor. Unless they're unique which I would guess they aren't since it's "Demon in Armor," not "The Demon in Armor."
-
He wants the Demon in Armor that is in battle, I believe...
-
Yeah, do you mean band to the same character that's already in battle, or another copy of it?

Sauce is correct. which seems ridiculous, but why not?

Tim Maly inspired him to break the game, guys. Come up with stupid reasons it SHOULD work! YEAH!
-
You cannot band to a character who is already in battle. "Band" is equivalent to "add to battle."

but you already did Characterless, so...
speaking of breaking the game, I sent the combo to Gabe.

WHY NOT THE MIGHTY RDT?! Also, you got my pm... right?

yeah.
well, Gabe had already sent me a pm, and I figured I should let him know we made it safe, so...I'm lazy.

Hey,
Default condition for banding in the new REG (and also the status quo): "Targets must be 'in a territory or in holder's hand.'"
Tschow,
Tim "Sir Nobody" Maly

So, then if I had a character in the main battle (say a High Priest Annas) and you create a side battle and give me a sadducee I can't band to Annas? I thought that you could? Is this a change, or me misinterpreting current rules.
-
I think the latter. I've always understood banding to only target territories and your hand unless otherwise specified.
-
Hmm, I also thought it was posible to band to characters who were in the main battle, but not the side battle.
-
I agree with Polarius. I was not aware that you could band to someone already in the Field of Battle.
