Title: Shuffling Question
Post by: adotson85 on October 18, 2008, 02:50:08 PM
If a card's ability has already been used, and is shuffled back into a draw pile, when you re-draw it can the ability be used again?  Two examples are:  1. If I put Gabriel (ability is: Look through opponent's draw pile and discard one enhancement card) into the field of battle and discard a card from someone's draw pile and then he is shuffled back into my deck, then next time I draw him and put him into the field of battle can I discard another card from a draw pile?  2. If I draw the "revealer" lost soul (ability is: when you draw this card each opponent must reveal the top two cards of draw pile.  Place each revealed lost soul in land of bondage, and place the rest beneath owner's draw pile)  and use its ability and it is shuffled back into my deck, do I use its ability the next time I draw it

Normally, yes.  The exception would be a card that states that can only be used a set number of times "per game" (ie. Jepthah)

You can actually use Gabriel's special ability each time he enters battle, so he doesn't have to get shuffled for this to work.

2. If I draw the "revealer" lost soul (ability is: when you draw this card each opponent must reveal the top two cards of draw pile.  Place each revealed lost soul in land of        , and place the rest beneath owner's draw pile)  and use its ability and it is shuffled back into my deck, do I use its ability the next time I draw it
Yes, this is a good example of a shuffle resetting a card.
