Title: Ruling Question about Garden Tomb.
Post by: 777Godspeed on September 17, 2008, 11:15:44 PM
I have Garden Tomb in play.
My opponent has 1 EC in territory, Crimson Ashpenaz
I RA with Mary the Mother of James banded to Salome.
My opponent attempts to block with King Merodach-baladan from hand.

Garden Tomb
Type: Fortress • Brigade: None • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: If opponent has a redeemed Lost Soul, then Salome, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Peter, John, and Mary the mother of James ignore all evil brigades that do not have at least two Characters in play. • Attributes: Empty! • Identifiers: NT, Empty! • Verse: Mark 16:1 •

Garden Tomb special abilitly seems quite clear to me or am I missing something and my opponent can block with a crimson EC from hand?
I believe the answer is obvious, but please post an answer.

Godspeed,
Mike

i agree with you. At the time of the rescue there is only one crimson evil character in play, so the character he would like to play from hand is ignored instead, and can not enter battle.

Hey,

If The Garden Tomb's ability is in effect, then no, you cannot block with a character from hand if there is exactly one character in play of matching brigade.
