I make an RA with Eve, over 9000 Genesis heroes in play. Can I choose the order that non-humans go back in my deck, or do they go in the original order?

Eve

Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Blue • Ability: 7 / 3 • Class: None • Special Ability: Reveal the top X cards of deck. Add to hand all revealed humans. Eve ignores female Evil Characters. • Play As: Reveal the top X cards of deck. Place all revealed humans in hand. Ignore female Evil Characters. • Identifiers: OT Female Human • Verse: Genesis 3:20 • Availability: Disciples booster packs ()

That is incorrect. With all reveal abilities that are NOT paired with a place ability, the cards are returned in the order they were originally.

That seems awfully inconsistant. Would it not just be simpler to do it one way or the other and just stick with it?

It is consistent. Reveal abilities do not allow you to change the order of the cards... ever. However, place abilities do. So if a card says to reveal the top three cards, they are returned in the same order. If a card says to reveal the top two cards and place them beneath draw pile, they can be placed in any order since they are being put there by a place ability.
