2 Heroes are banded and facing 2 Evil Characters who are banded. One of the Evil Characters has first strike. After all is said and done, battle is a mutual destruction. I know the ECs win because the one has first strike and survives but does the other EC also survive as well?
Thanks

Ongoing Abilities > First Strike > How to Play
Only the character with first strike ability benefits in the battle where it is played; it does not extend to other characters (e.g., Band).

I believe someone else asked this question not too long ago. (It might have even been me, now that I think of it.)

hmm, i wonder what second strike would do if it were a mechanic in redemption... :)
-
Allow the character to win in a stalemate situation maybe? :)
"Oh, stalemate, we both go back? Ok."
"HA! I have second strike so I hit you in the back and defeat you while you return to territory!"
;D

I always thought that should be an ability! (I would call it last strike though. :P)

LOL i like it guardian! :D

Wouldn't second strike be the ability of the dude with the sword in Raiders of the Lost Ark?

Wouldn't second strike be the ability of the dude with the sword in Raiders of the Lost Ark?
Only if Indiana Jones accidently stepped on the blade of the sword while passing the dead dude's body... ;)

Hey,
2 Heroes are banded and facing 2 Evil Characters who are banded. One of the Evil Characters has first strike. After all is said and done, battle is a mutual destruction. I know the ECs win because the one has first strike and survives but does the other EC also survive as well?
"If one or more characters in battle have first strike, the battle is in the mutual destruction state, and the strength of the character(s) on one side of battle that have first strike is greater than or equal to the toughness of all the character(s) on the other side of battle, then the battle is moved to the hero winning or evil character winning state (whichever one is in favor of the character with first strike)."
So if the Evil Character with first strike has strength greater than or equal to the toughness of the two heroes combined, then the Evil Characters win, no lost soul is rescued, and both Evil Characters survive.
But if the Evil Character with first strike has strength less than the toughness of the two heroes combined, even though the character has first strike, he still dies, and the heroes still rescue the lost soul.
