Redemption: "Take or return to hand a captured Hero in a LoB or an EC that is a Hero at face value."
Can I target evil King Saul or any other DAC played as an EC with this since they are both Heroes and ECs at face value?
-
My ruling would be no. That might be a Play-As that needs a minor tweak because of the existence of DAC.
Something like...
"Take or return to hand a captured Hero in a LoB or an EC that is only a Hero at face value."

There should be a reprint of the card "Redemption". That would be cool :)
Maybe it can be clay or multi-colored good enhancement , with a really good special ability and be an Ultra Rare of a future set.

I have always thought that a card with the name of our beloved game should be really good and worth playing!

I thought of "start another game of redemption with different decks" winner of that game gets a rescued soul from their opponent

Soon:
"Day three of Nationals. Both players are at six souls. The winner of this game will rescue the game winning soul in the previous game - if it's Player X, then that'll be the winning soul for that game, bringing both players to a tie at 4 in the game before that. Hopefully, once this game is over we can begin working our way back up the table toward the original game - in six of the eleven games between these two both Redemptions have been played, but in the other five we can assume one player still has theirs left.
Uh oh, looks like Player Y played his Redemption. Both players are moving down a seat and pulling out their next deck. We'll be back later with the first game of Nats once they're done shuffling."

I agree that it shouldn't be allowed. This is an example of a Play As that would change how the ability works, so the Play As needs to be updated.
