Title: Quick, Stupid Question
Post by: BubbleBoy on November 27, 2008, 10:59:44 PM
Can Babylonian Forces count as a male human for Arioch? Actually, can any generic characters count for a particular gender in general?

Quick, stupid answer: banana.

Real answer: since we're talking about warriors here, I don't see any reason not to count them as male.  To date, the only non-gender-specific (human) characters are mixed crowds, cards like Angry Mob, Complainers, Idolaters, Priests of Christ, and Jeering Yutes.

Hm...I always though of The Jeering Youths as all-male for some reason. Anyway, thanks for the ruling.

ESV, NLT, CEV, TNIV, and Luther's versions specify boys.  KJV, NKJV, NIV, NASB just say youths.

It's likely because Redemption standardized KJV for card scriptures that it became gender-neutral.

I always thought they were boys.  I'm just reporting what's ruled in the REG.

Well, I had assumed you got an official ruling on those; I wasn't doubting, I was just surprised.
