Title: Protect vs immune
Post by: christiangamer25 on August 30, 2014, 10:59:52 PM
I know this is going to sound dumb but with the influx of new regardless of protection cards does immunity function separate from protection giving cards that use immunity wording the ability to still be untouched by regardless of protection cards

Immune and protect are currently separate, but there are at least a handful of people who want them to be the same, since they have the exact same function right now.

They have the same effect, but aren't the same condition. Which is a bit stupid. I would love to see them combined completely.

I'd be in favor of 'protect' only applying to abilities and game rules, and 'immune' staying the same.  Basically, taking the numbers part away from protection.  Though I'd be happy with them being the exact same key word as well.

Rule as it currently stands is correctly described above, though.

I'd accept this too, my biggest issue is with two different abilities that do identical things.

I feel keeping them different opens the game to having more versatility in future gameplay, however they could just name future gameplay mechanics something different i guess...
