Title: Prince of this world
Post by: Lex1122 on June 19, 2018, 10:36:17 AM
Prince of this world says he is immune to lone hero’s. Only a rescue attempt of two or more hero’s can be successful. If my opponent goes out with women with child n get Aotl and I take prince of this world out can he Aolt me n win the lost soul? Or is my character dead but no lost soul is won?

It's bogus because the important part of text was reduced to protected from lone heroes..

They can rescue, unfortunately.

It’s superfluous wording. This issue came up at the last district when Emp. Nero was used and has similar wording. The orange Prince simply reads “Immune to lone heroes.” The play-as for the pale green Prince reads “Protect character from lone heroes.”

Yeah but that's not how the card was played and it was cool when there had to be a band- completely changes the card. Not the same ability.

10/10 on the app there will have to be a band to rescue and it won't be by protecting souls.

It may have been ruled differently in different areas, but to my knowledge the second "ability" was always ruled to be clarifying text, not an actual ability.

+1
This has been the official ruling for PotW and Nero since before I started playing.

Guess we had a micro meta based on cards wording before a forum account lol

Nothing wrong with that...my brothers and I used to play T1 with T2 deck building rules...cuz why would you only want one copy of your best cards   :rollin:

Of course, we didn't usually stop at 5...our games would last over the course of several days and ended when someone had reached 15 Lost souls or something... ::)

Sounds like a new format... "type Alstad"?

If one of the rules is "Keep playing until there are no LS to rescue or the heroes give up", then CtB/Women as Snares is going to be a thing in Type Alstad

I'd suggest shortening it to type A, but the inevitable confusion would lead to some poor RLKs being traumatized by massive 300 card decks...
