Title: Pigs Lost Soul
Post by: DaClock on January 11, 2011, 07:43:42 PM
"Prevent all draw abilities, except on Heroes."

Does this remain active once the lost soul is rescued?

No. Lost Souls don't continue to be active once they leave play (except for the Anti-Burial LS, which is a special circumstance).

I disagree with the good Professor.  Unless negated, or they state otherwise, all abilities last until the end of the phase.  Therefore the Pigs Lost Soul would continue to be active for the rest of the phase in which it is rescued, unless it was negated first.

Contrast Pigs with Speed Bump for example, "While this card is in play, protect all Lost Souls from rescue by a player with more than 10 cards in hand."

Speed Bump is no longer active after it leaves play because of the clause in it's SA.

Okay, but after that phase it is no longer active? So if I rescue it during prep phase I can draw during battle?

Yes,  I agree with Gabe and if you rescue it during prep phase with Sog/nj then you can draw during battle

Yeah you can draw the phase after it is rescued and I assume that the color-guard would still protect during the phase or would it cancel because it left the site?
