How do these two cards work if Wheel is placed on Warriors, Angel Wars, or King’s Michael? I’m assuming it can be negated prior to him entering battle with Wheel already on him, but what about when he enters battle with it, is he making Wheel unnegatable until the end of battle or no since it was already played on him?
Michael - Enhancements used by Michael can’t be negated (this is the AW version).
Wheel - Search deck, etc...protect this hero from dominants.
-
only if the card was played on Michael in battle does WWW become CBN. because WWW is already active when placed on Michael, he doesn't make it CBN when he enters battle

Correct.
However, you can also play WWW on any WC Hero with Ram's Horn active to give it CBI (the assumption being that you wouldn't be trying to play it if it was being prevented). Keep in mind you would need to actually play it on a WC character (so you couldn't play it on AutO to search and place on Michael and have it be CBI).

If I play it in battle he'll make it unnegatable but after battle I'm assuming it will now be negatable again since his ability is only active in battle. Is this correct?
-
Abilities are granted modifiers when they cards they are on are played. They don't lose/gain them afterwards.
-
It's a similar story with Isaiah's Call. If you play it outside of battle, or even off someone else in battle to search him out, it can be negated as long as it's in play. You have to play it off him in battle if you want him to be CBN.
The important thing to remember is that cards can never gain or lose modifiers (i.e. CBN status) after they're played.

Ok thanks

Pardon me but I think I didn't quite understand this.
In which case will WWW be unnegateable?
And when and how can it be negated?

When WWW is played in territory it is placed on an angel, in this case, Michael. If Michael enters battle the enhancement is not played again and therefore not CBN because of Michael's ability. WWW can be negated at any time by any card that can target it if it was not CBN when played.

So one would have to play it in battle in order for WWW to gain CBN? If it gains it it stays all throughout the game?
Shouldn't placed enhancements work like equipped weapons. Even thought they are equipped they are considered being played in battle.
Blessings :)

Due to the way Michael is worded yes it would need to be played in battle to be CBN and it will stay CBN until it is removed from play.
EDIT: misread your last sentence there, placed enhancements are not activated like weapons. They are a totally different mechanic.
-
Weapons are "played" when they enter battle (to activate their ability), they just don't unequip themselves. At least I don't think we intended to change that.

Has the REG been updated yet to reflect the weapon changes?
Weapon (Class Enhancement)
This is a special kind of Enhancement marked by a shield icon on the left side of the card.
Weapon-class Enhancements may be held by warrior-class characters outside of battle, and
may be equipped to a warrior-class character during a player’s Preparation or Discard Phases.
Weapon-class Enhancements are referred to as “weapons” in abilities.
The special ability on a weapon-class Enhancement only activates in battle. Outside of battle,
weapon-class Enhancements follow the same rules as held cards by following their bearers to
any location in which they are moved, except when the holding character is captured, in
which case the weapon-class Enhancement is discarded.
Currently, it says "the abilities activate when the weapon enters battle". Does that wording mean it's "played" when they enter battle?
-
Okay I'm confused!
Weapons are "played" when they enter battle (to activate their ability), they just don't unequip themselves. At least I don't think we intended to change that.
So a weapon that was equipped in round one can be negated by a "negate and discard the last enhancement played this battle"-card since it is "(re-)played" in order to activate in battle?
Why would a weapon unequip itself? That doesn't seem to make any sense at all. But that was changed already huh?
When is an enh that's a "place enh" being played? Will the playing reoccur at any time during the game?
What in the wording of Michael would tell me that I would have to play WWW in battle in order to gain CBN? Because I don't get that from reading the SA.

It will be included with the update released for the set. Probably around the time the set becomes legal.
That line in definition of weapon is why they are played again, but it's really covered by the definitions for Play and Used By.

Yes, assuming it was the last Enhancement played in the current battle.

Not really sure why that was the rule, actually.
When is an enh that's a "place enh" being played? Will the playing reoccur at any time during the game?
A placed Enhancement is played when it places itself. The playing does not reoccur unless it resets to face value (hand, deck, discard, etc.).

Michael's special ability (which is only a modifier) is only active while he's in battle. If it's not active, he can't grant CBN.

Thanks a lot!

So WWW would be CBN when played on him in battle but would seize being CBN afterwards? So it could be negated in the next battle since the SA doesn't target it anymore or wasn't there something about "a card can't loose a modifier" in this case CBN?

If you rescue with Michael and play WWW it is CBN until it "resets to face value (hand, deck, discard, etc.)."
-
if its played CBN it stays CBN, if its played not CBN, it will never gain CBN
-
Nope, it would continue being CBN.
Remember, after a card is played, it can never gain or lose CBN status. No matter how long Wheel stays in play, it would remain CBN.
