Does Name on Name not trigger if the name is in the scripture verse anymore?
-
this is what i found in the reg under Name-On-Name Bonus:
Name-on-name bonus is an advanced rule (see Name-on-Name Bonus in the rulebook). When this rule is in effect, an enhancement card with a person’s name in the title is worth double its abilities (*/*) when played on a character card that has the same specific person’s name in the title. Play name-on-name bonus as “person's-name-on-same-person” bonus, because there are examples in the Bible where the same person has multiple names that are reflected in Redemption®. Name-on-name bonus does not affect nor is it affected by the special abilities on cards. Characters must be unique; generic characters cannot be used for name-on-name bonus.
i don't see here where it applies to scripture verse as well

That is distinct from how NoN used to be ruled. Redoubter, other elders, can you shine some light on this and why it might have changed?

Are you asking whether an enhancement that has a unique character's name in the reference would get name-on-name bonus when played on that unique character? (such as Reuben's Torn Clothes and Joseph)
I don't remember it working that way before....

I also don't remember NoN including references. You may be confusing that with the fact that you use the reference to determine whether the noun in the name is referring to a specific person (like Angel's Sword and Angel in the Path).

NoN has not included reference as long as I've been playing. The description quoted above has been the rule for at least the past 10 years.

This is what is going on. Misconceptions are funny. I happened to have one.

Don't beat yourself up, everyone makes mistakes. I remember things incorrectly all the time. :P
