Okay, I am sorry if this question is a bit simple, but I want to make sure I am using the New Jerusalem/Bride of Christ card properly. Basically, this also refers to the other newer cards that I have from the last few sets that have dual roles. Such as this one is a site or hero and others which are good and evil....
1) Do I need another card that allows me to convert the NJ/BoC to a hero, or is that done in preparation phase?
2) For those other cards that are both hero and evil, can they be both while in my territory or do I need to decide when I place them down which side they will be on? ???
Again sorry if this seems simple, but being a returning player, there were not many/if any dual role cards like this when I played before.

It depends on what the identifiers (between the picture and the SA/versa box) on the card say.
For Joab, King Saul, and King Abijam, you choose a side when you play it. The Roman Jailer (EC) and Saul/Paul (Ap) are evil by default.
NJ/BoC and Babylon/Harlot are both sites when initially put in play. You have to meet the requirements to convert them - for Babylon, that's just being attacked, but NJ has to be put in battle with another hero, since rainbow sites are only active in battle.

NJ/BoC actually activates when put in battle, not in territory. Once it goes into battle with a hero as a site, you can choose at that point to transform it to BoC. Once transformed, you activate BoC's special ability to search out NJ, if you wish.
Regarding your second question, read the identifier between the picture and text box. It will tell you what to do. Typically you choose it to be good or evil (such as King Saul or Joab), but there are a couple of others that do things a bit differently, so just make sure you read the identifier.

Just so I understand, "in territory" and "in play" are the same correct?

Anything "in territory" is in play, but in play refers to territory, battle, and artifact pile.

Thanks, my son plays another card game that considers it different. So I just wanted to make sure with Redemption it meant the same. :)
