Title: Negating Negates
Post by: matts3376 on August 08, 2021, 01:01:13 PM
Just learning the game. I checked the REG and watched a few example games but couldn't find this scenario, although it has come up in most I&J games that I have played. There is definitely a chance I just missed it - I'm sorry about that if I did.

Example:
- Andrew (3/3, "May band to Peter") makes a rescue attempt.
- Blocked by Pilate's Soldiers (6/12).
- Andrew plays You Are the Christ (3/3, "Discard an evil card") to discard Pilate's Soliders.
- Pilate's Soldiers, with special initiative, plays Crucify Him! (3/3, "Negate and discard the last good enhancement played this battle").

At this point, You Are the Christ is negated. Andrew has initiative by the numbers and plays Wonderment (4/3, "Negate and discard the last evil enhancement played this battle"). When this card takes effect, what is the current situation? Is Pilate's Soldiers still being discarded due to You Are the Christ because the card that negated it has been negated?

I saw this on Redemption FL's website:
#5 - Negates No Longer Cascade; Any Cards That Take Effect as the Result of a Negated Card is no longer negacted.
Character A bands to Character B.
Character B's ability says "Draw a card."
If the band ability is later negated, the "draw a card" ability on Character B still happens.

And am trying to make sense of it regarding these kinds of situations.

Second question: can Son of God rescue a lost soul from your own territory?

Thanks y'all.

Pilateā€™s Soldiers does indeed resume to be discarded due to wonderment negating crucify him. And no, Son of God can no longer rescue a lost soul in own land of bondage.
