I remember Name on Name bonus being made an official rule at Nats years ago, but it does not even appear in the 4th Edition rulebook. Is this still an official rule?

Actually if I remember correctly its still an optional rule, just one that tournaments generally run.

Hmm, I could have sworn it was made official before I went on hiatus. Either way, why isn't it in the new rulebook at all?

You can find it in The REG (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/downloads/REG_PDF_v1.0.2.pdf), where it is defined (even though it is not in the current rulebook, no).

I'm still waiting for word of the "4th Edition Expanded Rulebook" that was mentioned in the new 4th edition starter booklet.

The current rulebook and REG say nothing about Type 2, and the last rulebook is way out of date on those rules.
