1. If I play Saul Repents on Paul would I get name on name?
2. RA with random green hero I play Saul Repents. Saul is then Converted. I then play Pauls Books and Parchments to band in Paul. Would I get name on name for the previous enhancements played in battle? Or would they be worth the same?
Edit.
3. When does Name on Name take place?
-
1. I'm pretty sure, yes.
2. no. All enhancements have to be played on a specific character chosen when you play the enhancement and that doesn't change. So you would have played those enhancements on a random green guy which does not match and get the bonus.

What happens if the random green hero is removed from battle? As far as I know, when a character leaves battle prematurely, the enhancements try to transfer to a hero that matches, and since Paul is every color he would be an appropriate target.

Ah Never thought of that. In that case there would be Name on Name.

I disagree. Every card is played "on" a single character in battle. Although that character may leave battle and the enhancements transferred, the card was not "played on" the new character. "Played on" would seem to go hand in hand with the activation of the SA, which is already completed and cannot be used again.

So then that brings up the question of when does name on name take place.
-
Redemption® Rulebook > Optional Advanced Rules > Name-on-Name Bonus
If an enhancement is played on a character, and the title of the enhancement contains the name of that character, then the enhancement is worth double its abilities (*/*) value.
Again, I would argue that "played on" only occurs once.

Indeed. This is just my opinion, and I am often wrong. ;)

I agree with all of the above.

I agree with all of the above.
Especially the part about me being often wrong. ;)
