I start a rescue attempt. My opponent uses The Gates of Hell (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/thegatesofhelltp.htm) to discard the bottom card of his deck, which is an orange demon, so he puts it in play. He then blocks with that demon. I have initiative, and I play My Lord and My God (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/mylordandmygoddi.htm) to negate and discard TGoH. I assume that the demon in battle is placed back beneath deck, and if so, does my opponent get a chance to negate my enhancement?
-
You are correct. See: Helmet of Salvation vs. Philistine Oupost with a searched Philistine in battle.
-
You are correct.
My question wasn't exactly a yes or no question, so I assume you mean that the demon does go back, and the opponent does get to interrupt, correct*?
*Worded as a yes or no question. ;)
-
You are correct in your assumption.
-
Wow, correct twice. That's gotta be, like, a record for me. ;D
-
You can't use MLaMG because TGoH is in set aside

Nvm, I haven't gone through all of new cards yet

Translation: My Lord and My God CAN discard an evil card in a set aside area. :)

I'm still curious. Who's idea was it to give the brigade with AoCP two cards that can discard protection forts? :-\

Purple is the new teal.
Sites are the new protect fortresses.

Except it's even more broken

No, the game is just getting better :D

You're right, never being able to block really is improving the game

No, you can block... just not against Teal, Green, TGT, and Purple.

Well, ::) they are improving the hero brigades seemingly one by one, so I would think that upon completion of the hero brigades, they'd move onto the evil brigades. In that line of thinking, the game is improving, slowly but surely, one brigade at a time. Plus, good always wins in the end ;)

But alas, we are not always free from stumbling blocks and spiritual questioning.
And since when is Green a "no-block" brigade?

Don't forget Gold and Blue

Since the printing of Hidden Treasures. Four sets ago.

Good one bro.

Since the printing of Destruction. Before Hidden Treasures was incept'd.

I'd like to show you this card, it's called Lampstand of the Sanctuary (http://redemptionreg.com/REG/lampstandofthesanctuarypi.htm), perhaps you've heard of it?
-
Excuse me, what the lots are you casting?
-
There's this guy, his name's Aaron. He's kinda awesome.
(yes, I know Hidden Treasures is not a Tabernacle Artifact. The point remains for Lampstand, though.)
-
what is this point you speak of?
-
If you're not using the Teal/Green Aaron, you're doing it wrong.
-
i believe he's referring to the Pats one. (hehe know we're all confused)

L2 read nubz
Aaron (Di)

Oops, active during battle phase. Casting lots is TC for Great Justice.

And targets face downs.

Oh snap, i missed the removal of Aarons "in play" clause.
Oh well, if you're playing Grey I won't need to play first on you anyways ;)

great! you just allowed me to use Gold Shield so I can convert my Ittai to green.
-
COMBO COMBO COMBO COMBO AFRICA!

COMBO COMBO COMBO COMBO AFRICA!
that was Sauce's (superior) version of the deck. his deck didn't rely on the combo, and wouldn't win the game in one turn. my T2 version was COMBO COMBO COMBO COMBO CONGO!!!! and the TEAMS version (which took fourth place...combo deck in a T1 category...) was COMBO COMBO COMBO COMBO ETHIOPIA!
-
That was the best deck I've seen since the beginning of time.

That's okay, I'll just snipe your Thorns Lost Soul with my SoG.
That, or let you pull off the combo, because it's awesome.

It's a good thing Satan's Seat is so much more useful now, then. ;)
