Title: Multiple Pagan Sacrifices
Post by: adotson85 on April 27, 2010, 08:18:55 PM
If I put 2 Pagan Sacrifices in my opponent's territory then they will have to discard the top 2 card of their deck. However, how does it work if one of their top 2 is a lost soul? I know the LS is put into play, but does just one Pagan Sacrifices get discarded? I would assume so as I think the two cards activate indepently of each other.

Pagan Sacrifices
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gold • Ability: None • Class: None • Special Ability: Place in an opponent’s territory. During opponent’s upkeep phase, he must discard the top card of own draw pile. If that card is a Lost Soul, put it in play and discard this card instead. • Identifiers: NT, Connected with Demons, False Religious Practice • Verse: I Corinthians 10:20 • Availability: Priests booster packs (Common)

With Sin in the Camp, it was ruled that one good dom could get rid of all copies of SitC in a territory. However, that change was an "errata," a similar one of which has not been given to Pagan Sacrifices, so I would think that as of now, each revealed soul would only get rid of one PS.

I agree with BB. You have multiple copies of PS that all activate one by one, and each one checks... "Ok, did I discard a lost soul?"

I see no reason why one LS would knock out multiple copies.

This is a perfect example of consistency. Two same situations, if SitC is placed in territory at the same time, then this should have the same ruling. But I do know how strong SitC is, which is why the errata was given, and Pagan's Sacrifice is NO WHERE near as strong, so I agree with the errata, I can see how players may make this an example.

With Sin in the Camp, you are revealing a dominant, which you could easily do multiple times to get rid of multiple copies of the card...

You have to place it under the deck.
