Situation: I RA with a Red hero, opponent blocks, my inish, I play Battle Cry and bring in Moses and Captain of the Host. Do all heroes stay in battle (Captain's ability prevents Moses') or are they kicked out and the current battle is FBTN (Moses' ability prevents Captain's)? Is it my choice?

All Heroes that are targeted by the banding card will enter battle at the same time. Then you choose the order that their special abilities activate.
You could choose to have Captain activate first, preventing Moses' ability and allowing your band to work, or you could have Moses activate first, negating the band and removing both Captain and Moses from battle. The choice is yours. :)

And the actual abilities do not affect the order? As in, banding/choose the blocker/gained abilities can happen in the order you want?

No, you still have to follow the normal order of operations.

Ah, so I can choose between Captain and Moses since they have the same ability (in terms of the classification for order of operations). Does that sound right?

Are you sure about that Gabe? I thought the order of operations only referred to abilities on a single Hero, not on multiple heroes all brought in by a banding card. I thought you could band in, say, Ehud and Miriam, use Ehud's ability to choose a Gold EC, and then activate Miriam to ignore it (just as an example).

Gabe is correct. When banding in 4 characters with multiple abilities the normal order of operations must still be followed. So for example if there were (1) special abilities that let you play a card, (2) weapon class enhancements that let you draw, (3) banding, and (4) choose the blocker. You would have to activate them in that order. So it would look something like this:
1,1,1
2,
3,3
4
This would mean that Ehud's choose the blocker (4) would happen after Miriam's ignore (1), therefore, an Egyptian could NOT be chosen.
