Hey everyone,
•I thought the rules said that you can only have one of each site out at a time, but Building Egypt says put all your Egyptian sites into play. Can you have multiple Egypt sites out at a time? If not, why on Earth would they make such a stupid card?
Thanks,
Ammian

you can have up to 5 (if I remember right--it may be unlimited #..but I don't have my rulebook on me at the moment) no special ability sites in a deck.
Egypt does not have a special ability, therefore you can have up to 5 in a deck. All of them can be in your territory when they are pulled from your deck.
Pharaoh's Court/Banks of the Nile has a special ability so you can only have 1 in T1 decks and either 2 or 3 in T2 (again, my rulebook is at the house.)
-
Excellent. That 5 or unlimited thing would be really good to clarify, though ...can anyone help?
-
It is only 5 I believe.
And even if it was infinite, you can only have as many sites as you have lost souls in a deck.
-
Mmhmm. Only 5 ...sad. Pharoah's Prison is Egyptian, though. So there's hope.

In Type 1 you would be allowed to have 1 Egypt for each Lost Soul in your deck, assuming you had no other sites. Sites with special ability are governed by the "1 copy per card with a special ability" rule, however sites with no ability only must follow the "number of sites may not exceed the number of lost souls" rule.
In Type 2 you would similarly be allowed to have 1 Egypt for each Lost Soul assuming you had no other sites. The difference here is that you are allowed 1 copy of a site with a special ability per 50 cards in your deck. So if your Type 2 deck was 100 cards, you could have 2 Banks of the Nile/Pharaoh's Court (an Egyptian site) in your deck.
Edit: I can't find anything in the rulebook about a 5 maximum on sites with no ability, so unless that's a new ruling somewhere on the boards the above is correct.
Also:
The following Redemption® cards are considered Egyptian sites:
• Banks of the Nile (RA), Egypt (H), Egypt (Wo), Pharaoh's Court (RA), Pharaoh's Prison (Wo), and Wilderness of Sinai (Pi)

Wait ...so I COULD have 17 Egypts if I had 17 Lost Souls (hopper not included) and no other sites? Sweet.

As of right now, and according to the Rulebook, I see no reason why not.
EDIT: Apologies. I just noticed in Type 2 there's another restriction: "A deck may contain no more than five (5) of any card."

Wait, what? T2 says 1 per 20 cards. The minimum is 100. Why on Earth would it bother to say that if there's a 5 card cap no matter what? Doesn't it even use some Authority of Christ example? How can you have 6 AoCs if you're only allowed 5 of a card? I'm confused...

I don't think that you can have more than 5 of the same site and you can only have 5 of any hero or enhancement and that i know for a fact
-
Which Rulebook are you using? I'm reading the one in the REG so it may or may not be the most recent one.

I assume that is what browarod is using, and it is correct. You can only have 5 Egypts in T2

Wow ...deck-building rules have changed. Does this mean I can have 3 Ark of the Covenants in a 105 card deck? If not, where's the link to that?
Thanks,

I feel like such a n00b, when really I'm just someone returning to the game after a hiatus.
