As is Elijah.
NT hero = Any hero in the NT
Moses and Elijah are BOTH in the NT (See transfig)
Now all we need is to make moses an angel.
-
heres the passage, Luke 9:29-33
29And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
30And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
31Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
32But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
33And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
What qualifies a character as an angel? Moses and Elijah were NOT in physical human form there im guessing, could they be considered angels as well?
-
The verse is from the O.T..
-
Uhm?
Its from Luke. I posted it for you. Check your Bibles table of Contents and see if Luke is O.T. ;)
-
yeah, all we need to do in redemption is provide a logical argument as to why something is classified the way it is. moses and elijah both appeared in the new testament, therefore it would make them both ot and nt heroes. good find!
-
How about being an angel as well?
From the REG:
One possible role of a character (see Character’s Role and Gender) is angel. Angels are non-human Heroes often depicted with wings.
They were no longer physical humans at this point were they?
-
but they would still be spiritual humans, wouldnt they? or would they? are we still human in the afterlife?
-
We are spirit, but we are not angels.
Jesus says we are LIKE the angels after we die in terms of marriage (one of the Gospels, i dont remember which), but we do not become angels. Humans and angels were separate creations.

But we need some way to make him a female angel now ;)

Hey,
Bryon told me that NT hero and a hero with a NT reference are two different things. To clarify:
glittering sword: discart on OT evil character in play or in a set aside area.
book of life: discard all evil characters with a NT reference.
So..... let's say that glittering sword targeted NT evil characters. It would kill emperor vitellius, but book of life wouldn't. Why? Because evperor vitellius is NT, but does not have a NT reference.
So it depends on how you want to use it. But I think they would be able to rescue the NT ls.
-
I believe so too, they ARE the only heroes to be (physicaly...ish) in both NT and OT though, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal would it? Sides all NT/O.T. kill cards could hit it.
-
Also... how can David be a prophet and a musician if those qualities arent mentioned in the scripture box alone? You need to look BEYOND the little box on the card.
I only brought up the angels thing orginally as a joke, but I then realized there WAS a posibility. Marti answered it pretty well though I think.
-
yeah, i knew moses being an angel was kind of stretching it...but him being a nt hero is completely plausible.
-
Could there be room in the silver brigade for a non-angel? Hear me out. The question has been asked if Moses and Elisha could be considered angels because they appeared at the Transfiguration. What about the ones in the White Robes in Rev 7? Since they survived the Tribulation, I get the sense that they may be spiritual beings and not nessacarily Angels. Even OT Saul came back after he died....Ok, so he still looked human...but was he? He had already died so he wasn't flesh and blood, so hu could have reappeared as a spiritual being. Lazurus (from the parble) in heaven...I know, the Silver Brigade is for angels only, period. No ifs, ands, or buts. However the case could be made to look into changing that rule....is all I'm saying.

Michael and Gabriel have NT references in their Warriors versions, and OT references in their Kings versions. They are considered OT or NT Heroes based entirely on which version you are using.
OT and NT references are based on the Scripture reference on the card. In the few cases where such a reference is lacking (e.g. promo cards, cards referencing Josephus), it is determined by whether the character lived before or after the BC/AD line.
Moses is not - and can never be classified as - a NT Hero, because his reference is OT and because he lived thousands of years before Christ. The only remotely possible exception is if a version of Moses is printed with the Transfiguration reference on the card, which I predict will come in the set immediately following the one when Rob prints a Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon.
-
Maybe we need a transfig reprint.
"Search *yadda* to band in moses and elijah. They are treated as NT heroes till the end of the game."

Good, I needed to work on my toon deck.

...I'm sorry to interrupt, but I find it disturbing that the title of this post is in statement form, while the topic is "Ruling Questions."
-
Well there is no "Informative opinions on cards" section :-p

There's an implied question, even if it was facetious: could Moses be a N.T. Hero? The answer is no, but the question is definitely there. :)
-
It just bothered me....I'm sorry.
