Title: Michael vs Somebody
Post by: SoulSaver on November 07, 2008, 12:11:15 PM
OK who plays first enhancement in this battle?

Micheal with Angel's Sword vs Somebody with Swift Horses

I'm almost 100% sure Micheal does, but I'm not clear on the why.

Michael does.  Swift Horses cannot interrupt Angel's Sword ability to play first when it's on Michael.

Arg! I can't believe that I missed that! ::) Thanks Gabe for helping a guy with no brain today. :)

However, Angels Sword on say... Arianna vs 2kh = EC plays first.

That's not quite right, Arianna gets to play first, but then 2khorses interrupts the previous enhancement played by Arianna and plays next.

I would have to side with Lambo on this one.  :)

No... I think lambo is right because Angel's sword is ongoing (Trigger) and ITB inturupts ongoing.

That makes sense.

so what would happen in this situation?

Big banding chain of angels, ended with Arriana + Angels sword... vs one EC with 2kh.

2kh would interrupt and let the EC play next, but since the first enhancement has already been played, would the EC get to play another enh provided he was loosing by the numbers?

The sword will kick back in after the 2KHorse play, and give init to Arianna et al.

How does that work though? Angels sword says it gives them initiative to play the FIRST enhancement. One has already been played this battle, and AS doesnt say "you may play the first or second enhancement"

I would assume first means first.

By the way, everything said about Michael here is also true with Eli (NT 6/7 Silver) (http://www.redemptionreg.com/REG/eli.htm) right? Since weapon class enhancements on Eli cannot be negated or discarded, correct?

I was thinking about adding Eli to my angel deck in case Michael bites the dust early in the game, for this reason.

I think "first enhancement" is equivalent to "next enhancement", sort of like "second character" is equivalent to "additional character" on banding cards.

Hm I'd argue that but to my knowledge 1st = 1st.
