I was looking into cards that can get rid of artifacts, and this one seems to be pretty good.
However, one thought crossed my mind.
If your opponent does not have any artifacts out, would you be forced by this card to discard one of your own artifacts (if you were simply playing the card in battle for the numbers?)
If so, that would greatly reduce the effectiveness of this card.
Mask of Self-glorification (2/3, black) reads:
"Discard one active artifact"

Yes if your opponent does not have an active artifact you would have to discard one of your artifacts. It doesn't say you may, it just says discard. But there are other cards that are better at destroying or shuffling artifacts anyways.

Try destruction of Nehustan (SP?), lying onto God, paying taxes, treasures of war, captured ark, three woes, and the new RoJ artifacts that can negate a neutral card. there are many other brigade specific ones as well, like desecrate the temple for crimson and so on

Thank you!
