how would he convert you???  Magic Charms protects from conversion... and to be honest, that's probably half the reason that phrase is on there.

If somehow you could convert, I'd say yes because although heroes can't hurt heroes with their ability, artifacts can. But yeah, as of now I don't think there's any way to negate that protection of converting.

There's no way of converting AFTER MC is on the Magician, but there's nothing saying you can't convert and THEN activate MC ;)

thats probably what i was originally aiming for...does an evil magician retain its identifier after being converted?

I believe they keep being Magicians. As far as I know, the only time identifiers don't convert is when their identifier isn't found on any heroes. In this case, Magician is a non-alignment specific identifier (I think) so I don't see why they wouldn't keep it.

+ 1 Yes they would keep it. As far as I know a card cannot lose its identifier.

No, I'll go find the discussion later, but Rob and the other PTB decided that Magician was an evil only identifier, and that the Magi would be removed from the list of Magicians in the REG.

There it is, It seems that a converted Astrologers for example, would lose the ability to hold Charms. If it was holding Charms at the time I suppose it would be deactivated.

It has been decided by Rob and the team that "Magicians" will only be an identifier for Evil Characters. The Magi will no longer be listed as Magicians in the REG and if a Magician is converted to a Hero, it will lose its Magician status (just as an angel that gets converted is no longer an angel).

If The Magi are converted, would they gain the "Magician" identifier?

I would say yes, as they were astrologers. And since Astrologers is a magician, I don't see why an Evil Magi wouldn't be.

I would agree.
