If a card says ".......Place in Land of Bondage" does that mean that card turns into a LS or does the card have to say ".......Is treated as a LS? :-\
-
Unless it is guarding a site, any character placed in the LoB is treated as a Lost Soul. There might be exceptions to this, but I can't think of any.
Ex: The Amalekite's Slave: If blocking, you may place this card in opponent's Land of Bondage to search your deck for a human Evil Character and add it to the battle.
It becomes a Lost Soul, even though it doesn't say "capture" or "is treated as a lost soul"

Any captured character placed in your Land of Bondage is simply treated as a Lost Soul. In other words, they can be rescued and redeemed as Lost Souls. Or if the Shuffler is rescued, they would get shuffled back into their owners' decks. The only way to get them back as characters is to play a specific card that brings them back as Heroes or Evil Characters.

Note: When they are shuffled by a card (like the shuffler Lost Soul) they become characters again in your deck, so when you draw them, you can use them as Heroes or EC's.

Right. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. That's my fault.
Yes, all cards reset when they return to your hand or deck. What I meant was that the only way to get them right back the way they were taken was with a specific card that has that special ability. When I referenced the Shuffler, I was referring to the captured cards "treated as lost souls" because the Shuffler specifically says to shuffle all lost souls not currently held in sites back into their owner's draw piles.
