Is there a list of unique cards? I couldn't find one in the reg, and the REG doesn't specify on each card if it is unique or not.

All Fortresses, Artifacts, Curses, and Covenants are unique. All enhancements, Lost Souls, and Sites are generic. As for characters, if a character is not listed in the REG as generic, you can assume s/he is unique.

Would "generic" be listed under identifiers?

In the REG, genericness will usually be shown like below:
Pharisees (Brown) (Ap)
Type: Evil Char. • Brigade: Gray • Ability: 1 / 3 • Class: None • Special Ability: May band to all Pharisees. • Play As: May band all Pharisees from the Pharisees category into the battle. • Identifiers: Generic NT Male Human, Pharisee

If you go to the glossary, you can see a list of all Generic characters (and thereby determine which characters are unique).
