What scripture do you base your question on?

For Solomon, 1 Kings 4:32: "He [Solomon] spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five." (emphasis added) I think this verse strongly qualifies Solomon.

For Lemuel, there is no Scripture, but it is generally accepted that this is another name for Solomon. However, I would have no problem with him remaining a non-musician since this is not Biblically or historically proven.

Based on the scripture you found for Solomon, Bryon's definition for musicians (that Rob confirmed) I think it's pretty safe to say that Solomon is a musician.

Although some believe that Lemuel and Solomon were the same person, there is also reason to believe that they were two distinct individuals.  The Redemption card for King Lemule was created based on them being different people.  Since they are not the same unique person additional scripture is needed to support King Lemuel being a musician.

i would argue that solomon and lemuel are the one and same, as the advise given in those two passages with lemuel mentioned (proverbs 31:1 and 4) line up appropriately with solomons birth, especially considering the phrase 'son of my vows' in verse 2.

Arguing that they're the same person so that both can be Musicians seems to be counter-productive. If they are recognized as the same unique person then you couldn't have both in the same T1 deck anyway, so what's the point?

maybe one is better than the other? there are a multitude of reasons someone would prefer lemuel over solomon, or vice versa.

If you really want Lemuel's ability in a Musician deck, why can't you put him in even if he doesn't actually have the "Musician" identifier?

there are many reasons lemuel can benefit from being a musician.

There are also many reasons why he would benefit from not being one (assuming the only way to make him one is by making him the same unique character as Solomon).

Will Rob make a ruling!

the only benefit being he could be put in the same deck as king solomon. although, seeing as you have a purple royalty deck posted, doesnt exactly make you impartial to the issue at hand either. i tend to favor consistency over ulterior motives.

I concede that I'm not impartial. However, if there was sufficient evidence of them being the same person you'd think Rob and the playtesters would have taken that into consideration when they made the card.

maybe they did, who knows. or maybe they were just ignorant to the situation at hand. maybe not though, as king solomons and king lemuels stats are very, very similiar...

i dont know. from what i've read, i just find the evidence supporting lemuel as being solomon to be far greater than them being two completely different characters.

I agree the evidence as I've read it supports them being the same. That is not the same as having a really solid basis for saying they are, since it is far from a consensus view among Biblical scholars. For game play, having them separate is less problematic (and I'm looking for as many musicians as possible, so this goes against my own bias).
