I just got back from a tournament (won type 2-2 player and Booster ;D, AND someone passed me a Gates of Hell in booster!!!!!!!!), and I was wondering if we made the correct rulings for future reference (I think we did. The only one I'm starting to question is the first one). Here they are
-I attack with Josh the HP (hero doesn't really matter), my opponent blocks with and we play a couple enhancements or something like that. Anyway, he then Christian Martyrs me. I have less lost souls than him, can I then play Grapes of Wrath (discard his EC) and make a new rescue attempt?
-I attack with a band of 9001 characters, my opponent blocks with some tiny brown dude. He plays Weakness and then plays Shimei's Malicious Curse (or something like that), does that negate weakness?
-I have the "cannot be prevented" lost soul in my territory. My opponent attacks with Claudia banded to ET and plays Abe's Servant to Ur. I block with some brown dude and play Korah's Rebellion (cannot be prevented by Abe's Servant to Ur, due to the LS). Can he interrupt my Korah's Rebellion beings I interrupted his Abe's Servant, or does Abe's Servant still prevent his interrupt?
-My opponent attacks with some Captain band or something, I block with an Orange EC. I play Worshipping Demons, no altar depicting an idol or whatever else it says is in play. Does it still end the battle?
-What is the latest ruling on same amount of souls and Grapes?
-Finally, why is everyone saying Grapes is better than Mayhem ;D? Mayhem has saved me multiple games, Grapes has only helped me ONCE (and I could have used Uzzah anyway).
Abilities to come. Not enough room on this post to post them all.

1. Yes, if you were removed by a special ability you can still play dominants. But shame on you for not activating cov. with phinehas. ;)
2. 9001 characters is quite a lot. ::) But not, weakness is already in your territory, and enhancements default to "in battle." So he'd only negate special abilites of cards still in battle.
3. I was gonna ask that myself... but I think abe's servent to Ur is still negating, otherwise you'd enter a giant loop of negating, which redemption avoids at all costs.
4. Yep, it still ends the battle.
5. I believe it was ruled (or at least Bryon said this) that if you are tied with anyone for the most grapes doesn't let you attack. But it's still being discusses.
6. I never said that. ;D
-
actually, rob ruled in favor of grapes letting you make a new RA in the case of a tie.
-
5. Actually, Rob made the official ruling. A tie does NOT result in a new RA.
A challenger has appeared.

srry, typed the wrong thing. MKC is right.
-
Awesome. Was I right on everything else? ;D

I'm not so sure on your reasoning. I asked a similar question a while ago.
I attacked with a blue hero, my opponent blocked with a black ec. He played A-Bom, put it in my territory and then played Wrath of Satan. I played Abe's Servant to Ur, and I was told by Gabe or someone that it would negate A-Bom (I'll go look for the thread :D).
We ended up ruling it Weakness was not negated beings you can't interrupt your own enhancements or something like that.
EDIT: AWW. It wasn't Gabe that confirmed it, now I don't feel so sure :(. Prof and YMT did agree, though. http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=15376.0 (http://www.cactusgamedesign.com/message_boards/index.php?topic=15376.0)

You don't get initiative to interrupt your removal if you're causing it. Other than that, you can interrupt your own enhancements.
On 3, Korah's Rebellion interrupts Abe's Servant, so he could play an interrupt/negate to stop Korah's Rebellion. Abe's Servant would then reactivate and prevent anything played for the rest of the battle.

That enhancement would just get negated when Abe's Servant reactivated though, unless it was CBI right?
-
No. Only the prevent portion of Abe's Servant reactivates (the interrupt isn't ongoing and wasn't interrupted), so anything played while Abe's Servant was interrupted isn't negated by Abe's Servant. At least, that's how I understand it.
-
It doesn't matter anyway, since Abe's Servant would then be interrupting the interruption of an interrupt, which the "Cannot be Prevented" LS has no power over.

Hey,
I attack with a band of 9001 characters, my opponent blocks with some tiny brown dude. He plays Weakness and then plays Shimei's Malicious Curse (or something like that), does that negate weakness?
Ignoring the fact that a band of 9001 characters means someone is cheating given the new deck size maximum rules, a negate all negates all in play, that includes any cards in territories that are negate-able. So Shimei's Malicious Curse does negate weakness.

Maybe we had 90 players in one type 2 multi game. You don't know our local rules >:(.
Thanks for the answers/clarifications, everyone.

I thought negates default to "in battle." Isn't that why captain doesn't negate artifacts? Even though artifacts can be negated?

Play As: Negate all special abilities on characters and enhancements (except banding and Captain’s special abilities).
An artifact is not a character or enhancement.
